Back in 1981 I graduated high school and went to business school to be a “travel agent”. A different opportunity presented itself but over time I found my way back to travel industry, which I have always been passionate about.

Being a home based travel agent since 2009, I have chosen to partner with my host agency KHM Travel Group. Being affiliated with such a large agency allows me to offer the best pricing for my clients.

I am able to sell and book a variety of destinations including cruises, land packages, tours and hotels through top vendors within the industry.

A misconception about travel agents: many people think they need to pay an agent in addition to the cost of their vacation. Wrong! Travel tour vendors, (Go Go Vacations, Funjet Vacations, etc) hotels and cruise lines (Royal, Carnival, NCL, Viking) pay travel agents directly upon your return of your trip. Tour vendors want travel agents to book and service your travel needs.

Now, there are some instances that a charge will be made for a TA’s service. For example, if someone calls and would like for me to search and book a flight. Since 911 the airlines do not pay agents to book passengers. I will then charge a small booking fee for my time. It can range from $25 – $75 per seat depending on the time it takes to search it for you. Travelers Bug “normally” does not charge a booking fee if your flights are booked with a full packaged vacation or cruise.

Majority of travelers will not know where they would like to vacation. As an agent, I will use my intuition based on your needs, search, and price and suggest various destinations. Using a travel agent will actually save you time and money by avoiding booking a trip to an unknown hotel or destination.

Pricing – were you aware that an agent could price match! Yes I can match other vendors including Expedia, Orbitz, Jet Blue Vacations and many more! Our travel vendors want your business and will price match a quote found on line.

A benefit when booking with an agent, I can offer a payment plan! Many of the online booking sites require payment in full at the time you book.
